Murphy had a great hunting season in 2011! He retrieved pheasant, grouse, huns, ducks, and even a couple of 12-lb geese!
There is nothing we would change about him. We are going to have to talk about a future litter as well, maybe fall 2013 at the earliest.

If you are looking for an English Springer Spaniel then you have found the right place. These are the people you want to buy your next dog from. Gail and Jay were so kind and informative while my puppy was growing old enough to be shipped, I felt part of the process. They are loving dog people and it shows in their personable and professional manner.
When my dog arrived she had already been socialized with human contact and fell right in to life at my house with two other Springers. The town’s children had played with her regularly before I got her and she was as well adjusted to human contact and house life as you could desire. When my dog arrived I also received a CD with pictures of my dog’s development over her first eight weeks and a day-to-day journal that Gail kept. How can you beat that? Do yourself a favor and buy your next dog from them. You’ll be glad you did.

Pee Wee, from Bumper and Smokey's second litter, at his home in coastal North Carolina. Pee Wee was in training to be a service dog for my father, who had Parkinson's Disease. My father passed away before I could finish Pee Wee's training, so I sent Pee Wee to my stepmother for a companion. He takes his duties seriously, riding shotgun in the golf cart to retrieve the mail and visit neighbors. He's a typical friendly springer but also quite protective. Pee Wee is a gem!
"Harry Winston is an eager, energetic learner. He has a great nose. He works strong and tirelessly in the field. He is a great retriever. He lives to please and satisfy. He's also a wonderful companion and a family pet!"

Mariah and I brought our 12 week old English Springer Spaniel pup home to Malta in July 2002. He was named Slyder after repeatedly sliding across his kennel in some form of canine amusement. I worked daily over the 14 months training him basic commands initially then retrieves over water and various terrains. He hunts with an exceptional nose for pheasant, quail, and huns. He mastered hand signals by his first birthday. He loves water and has retrieved geese and ducks for me as natural as upland birds. Slyder unfortunately has done such a good job of capturing our family's hearts, that he is ending up IN our house more than OUT in his kennel. He is gentle and loyal, almost to a fault. We ended up coming home with not only a terriffic hunting dog, but now a new family member. WE THANK YOU LEDBETTERS!
